Victorian Pathways Certificate

At Hampton East School, Year 11 and 12 students undertake the VPC.

Our VPC program prepares students for post-school pathways by focusing on practical and employability skills.

Students learn:

  • Literacy
  • Numeracy
  • Work Related Skills
  • Personal Development Skills

Students attend specialist programs in Art, Physical Education and Technology.

There is an opportunity for students to select and complete an Industry Elective in Art, Horticulture, Hospitality, Sport Leadership and Volunteering.

Also, they may elect to undertake School-based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBAT) and complete a VET course in the VPC program.

Students build their knowledge, understanding and skills through real-world experiences.

They are encouraged to demonstrate leadership and plan, develop and complete projects that are individualised to their needs and interests. This involves students working in partnership with their teachers and developing positive connections with organisations in the broader community.
