At Berendale School, hands on learning experiences are essential for our students to be able to develop an understanding of the areas within the Science Curriculum. The teaching and learning sequences are developed around the Victorian Curriculum to include biology, chemistry, earth, space and physical science.
Students are encouraged to harness their curiosity about their world and solve problems that they encounter. Teachers create learning experiences based on the students’ Individual Learning Plans (ILP) and differentiate their learning. Students participate in groups or independently to inquire, predict, research, design, create, adapt and problem solve authentic real-life situations.
