At Berendale School, Year 11 and 12 students undertake the VCAL Foundation Program.

Our VCAL program prepares students for post-school pathways by focusing on practical and employability skills.

Students learn:

  • Literacy and Numeracy
  • Work Related Skills
  • Personal Development Skills

Students attend specialist programs in Art, Physical Education and Technology.

There is an opportunity for students to select and complete an Industry Elective in Art, Horticulture, Hospitality, Sport Leadership and Volunteering.

Also, they may elect to undertake School-based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBAT) and complete a VET course in the VCAL program.
